The Unadulterated Word of God
And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
So What About This Makes Any Sense?
Scary, huh?

Saw this story on FOX News the other day. They interviewed Teacher Larry Neace and his lawyer.

It makes you wonder what kids are really learning, even if they do graduate from high school. I wonder how much of this goes on that we do not hear anything about?
One would think that schools would be looking for good teachers, who truely care whether a child learns, not getting rid of them when do their job.

From reading the article, the school board had me on their side, until this part:
Neace said he had a practice of reducing the grades of students who waste time or sleep in class. His course syllabus warns that wasting class time can "earn a zero for a student on assignments or labs."
No administrators had previously complained about the practice, which he adopted more than a decade ago, Neace said.
I agreed that it is the place of School Boards and Administrators to set school policy, but if the board or administration let it go for 10 years with no problem, whining over it just because it was a football player takes all the wind out of their argument.
It would be interesting if someone did some background work to see if the school board or administration had ever brought up a concern over this policy before. I mean, teachers still have to turn in a copy of their sylabus and lesson plan... right?

My exact thoughts ted, it seems the priorities are a little skewed. It was intersting to me that so many of the other students and parent supported Neace. Sounds to me like he was a teacher who was trying to do right by his students.

It truely is hard to understand MasonM, we see more and more students graduating from high shcool and can not perform basic math skills and reading with comprehension. Then we find a teacher that cares enough to enforce some measure of dicipline and look what happens.
