And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
Sir, we would see Jesus

I received this illusion in an email a while back. Quite intriging I might add.

Stare intensely a the 4 dots in the center of the illusion for about 15-20 seconds, then close your eyes real tight and allow the minds eye to do it's work.

In the gospel of John 12:20-27 we are told that some Greeks came to the feast to worship. They came to Phillip and desired him saying, sir we would see Jesus.

This is your chance.... Check it out. You can see Him!

Tell me what you see.

My 8 year old showed me this the other day.

Oh, that the your christ actually resembled the long haired, fair skinned, blue eyed caucasian of popular myth, huh?

Quite interesting, your comment I mean. I must agree. What did Christ look like? What did you see dharmagrl? Did you see a "long haired, fair skinned, blue eyed caucasian? Or did your 8 year old see this? Just curious. One must admit though, this is very intriguing, eh?

Thanks for responding.

I have seen the robe but not the face,
The eyes that contain eternity in a single teardrop,
The scars upon his dark tanned skin, that once carried a thorny crown,
The hands through which our angry spikes were driven,
The back so torn open by our sickness and disease,
The mouth that lips the tongue, which as he spoke drove back the soldiers,
Yet so gently caressed the broken heart of every sick or broken sinner who opened to his words,
I have looked and only seen the robe, of the carpenters son,
I have heard the words so warm and strong that assure me, he is completely reliable,
Words are cheap, and easy they slip of the tongue,
Like a rusty nail, or a bullet from a gun,
Yet I am humbled when I look down into his eyes, instead of up,
And wonder why he washes my feet and fills my cup,
Oh Lord you are my servant, I do not understand, help me to live according to your command,
To love.

What did Christ look like? What did you see dharmagrl?

I saw a long faced, long haired imnage...much like you'd see if you looked at a photgraphic negative.
As to what christ looked like....well, I saw a documentary on Discovery a while back that took measurements of skulls dating back to the time of christ, and, using the same science that forensic artists use, they made a head and shoulders model of what Christ might have looked like. He had dark olive skin, a broad nose, and dark curly hair. Again, that's just what he MIGHT have looked like...but seeing as there's no mention in the bible of his appearance being any different than any of his brethren, I think it's safe to say that he didn't have blue eyes and blonde hair.

It is strange that I thought that so many people living in Israel had dark hair, until I met a girl called Esti, she was the lead singer in a band called 'Jenny from Space' and she laughed and she said, many of the girls in Israel have blonde hair, so guess he might have had some healty locks, and a surfer boy tan...joking, we will never know that one....however time is going really fast, is that a scientific fact or what....the minutes are getting shorter, to the coming of Jesus....there is a passage about Israel, and every eye shall see him and they shall look upon him whom they have pierced...okay my prophecy note might be off, but as an artist I will never get to see his face, he would never reveal his face to an artist, so boo to all the artists and their fake Jesus' for they would surely try to paint him...

Quite the contrary dharmagrl check it out...

Isaiah 52:14 "as many were astonied at thee (the suffering servant- Jesus Christ); his visage was so marred more than any other man and his form more than the sons of men".

Isaiah 53:52"for he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, ther is no beauty that we should desire him".

I find this very interesting, that this is the only image of Jesus that God gives mankind from His Word.

the minutes are getting shorter, to the coming of Jesus....there is a passage about Israel, and every eye shall see him and they shall look upon him whom they have pierced...

Quite the contrary aeryck... you prophecy is right on....and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him- Rev.3:7

Sadly enough many will never see anymore of Christ than that which they see in the illusion.
